Licenses
Automobiles: Treasurer at Cherokee County Courthouse, Cherokee Auto Department. Must be purchased within the month you move into the county, if moving from out of state.

Drivers: Cherokee County Courthouse (basement). Open Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A new resident of Iowa must immediately obtain an Iowa Drivers License.

To vote in Iowa you must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years or older. Party preference is declared at the time of registration, or at the Primary Election.
