Warehouse Manager
Job Summary:

The Warehouse Manager manages and verifies all incoming and outgoing freight from the Cherokee Warehouse. This positon is responsible for managing the inventory of all finished goods, rework, packaging, ingredients, and SI items at the warehouse and maintains accurate data entry in warehouse management system, setting up warehouse transfers in the system, month end inventory counts, coordinates with Logistics on timing, and verifies the reconciliation for accuracy between shipment and receipt into the warehouse of finished goods. The Warehouse Manager supervises a warehouse staff of 15-20 coworkers and schedules the team to ensure operational efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Trains new coworkers and follows up on training to support coworker retention and ensures smooth transition to Rembrandt ownership
• Prepares warehouse personnel weekly schedules, training, and performance reviews
• Reviews shipment data, space availability, damages, and discrepancies to ensure accuracy for reporting, accounting, record-keeping purposes, and quality control data
• Works with accounting and inventory team to help rectify problems with damages, shortages, and non-conformance to specifications of all products
• Ensures data entry accuracy into warehouse management system
• Monitors finished goods in the warehouse, runs inventory status reports, and communicates with inventory team to adjust as needed to ensure accurate inventory reconciliation
• Completes monthly inventory, attends quality training, daily staff meetings, provides team safety trainings, and ensures Rembrandt’s policies and procedures are followed as expected
• Coordinates and schedules cleaning inside and outside of cooler, warehouse, and other storage areas, establishing and following cleaning procedures and times for those areas
• Ensures warehouse areas are clean, and in compliance, the department operates in a safe manner and is audit/visitor ready at all times
• Maintains warehouse dock and outside grounds areas to ensure they are in good order, clean, safe, and compliant
• Ensures checks and ensures scheduled regular maintenance on equipment being used by department
• Participates and engages in Continuous Improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis, data-based decision-making, long-and short-term corrective action formulation, 5S, and the identification and implementation of cost-savings initiatives
• Focuses on cost reduction in the department while maintaining quality
• Follows Rembrandt Foods Incoming Approved Supplier Food Safety Quality Procedures
• Focuses on safety, safety training, safety awareness, and Total Recordable Incident Rate
• Participates in SQF/Customers Audits and performs recall procedures when required
• On-call for off-shift needs and questions

• A trained designee will be appointed by management to cover for absences or vacancies; refer to Rembrandt Foods site-specific facility back-up matrix on file.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Associate’s degree in related field
• 10+ years’ previous warehouse, shipping and receiving experience
• 5+ years’ previous supervisory experience
• Forklift experience
• Active listening: Gives full attention to what other people are saying and takes time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate
• Ability to follow all safety, quality policies and procedures
• Ability to read: understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
• Understand and effectively communicate information through writing and speaking so others will understand as appropriate for the needs of the audience

• Ability to recognize that there is a problem at hand
• Control Precision: ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without distractions
• Mathematical skills: General Arithmetic/Basic Algebra/Percentages/Fractions

• Material and Equipment handling: forklift, shrink wrapper, dock levelers, trailer restraints and safety procedures
