MEET THE SCIENTIST DAY! Free and open to all ages!
Have you always wondered what a biologist does for a career? What about a water scientist or an archaeologist? You’ll get your chance to learn more at “Meet the Scientist Day!” This is a family-fun event that will showcase a variety of scientists from around Northwest Iowa and beyond. This event will be held on Sunday, February 26th from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Sanford Museum and Planetarium. Admission to this event is free and open to the public.
Meet and learn with scientists who specialize in fields such as archaeology, water science, geology, physics, environmental science, and many more! These scientists will be scattered throughout the Sanford Museum, showcasing their specific scientific study and demonstrating an experiment or an activity related to their studies. This event is a great opportunity for kids to ask career questions or just to come and learn about the exciting facets of science!
