Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team in Aurelia, IA. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for students, fostering their academic and social development. This role requires effective communication skills, a strong understanding of childhood development, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of all students, including those with special education requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to various learning styles.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and respect.
- Utilize learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and engage students in interactive learning experiences.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and colleagues regarding student performance and classroom activities.
- Support students with autism and other special needs by adapting teaching strategies to meet individual requirements.
- Provide tutoring assistance to students who may need additional help outside of regular class hours.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other pertinent information while ensuring confidentiality.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and enhance teaching skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field is required; teaching certification preferred.
- Valid Iowa teacher certification
- Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and effective teaching strategies for elementary education.
- Familiarity with special education practices and experience working with children on the autism spectrum is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to proofread educational materials effectively.
- Proficiency in utilizing technology for educational purposes, including learning management systems and digital resources.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment that meets the needs of all learners.

Pay: $50,829.00 – $55,259.00 per year
