POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for a variety of tasks and services to assist in the provision of care and comfort for patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The CNA will report and record observations and contribute to the efficient functionality of the department.
ANTICIPATED SCHEDULE: 32-40 hours weekly, Shift: 2:00pm to 10:00pm, every other weekend/holiday
Requirements:
- Required: Completion of accredited Nursing Assistant program
- Required: Must be 16 years of age
License/Registration/Certification:
- Required: Active Nursing Assistant certification within state of Iowa
- Required: Must have or obtain active BLS within orientation period
Experience:
- Preferred: Prior CNA experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, required.
- Ability to operate a personal computer with a general understanding of application software, and an understanding of the Internet.
- Ability to learn office and organization-specific software.
- Ability to adapt to flexible patient schedules and frequent interruptions.
