Dairy Queen in Cherokee, IA, is looking to hire part-time Daytime Crew Members and Shift Leads.
Job description
Purpose of Job: Assemble, and present completed treat orders. Includes stocking, cleaning and maintaining all customer areas in a clean, safe, pleasant manner. Prepare food to DQ standards to ensure the highest quality
Premium pay may be available for applicants willing to work shorter shifts over the lunch rush.
Essential Functions:
- Start and complete transactions with customers, this includes:
- Greeting customer with a smile
- Suggestive selling
- Proper product preparation and order coordination
- Accurate cash transaction
- Prepare food products according to food preparation guidelines.
- A general working knowledge of all food/product preparation equipment.
- Perform cleaning duties in all areas of the store
- Sweep and mop floors, sweep and pickup parking lot
- Wash dishes and utensils
- Wipe counters and dining room tables
- Keep food preparation area clean and neat
- Empty trash receptacles and keep dumpster area clean
- Clean the restrooms
- Clean doors, windows and walls as needed
- Clean and organize walk-in cooler, walk-in freezer and storage rooms
- Stock supplies as needed throughout the day.
- Work as a “team” member to assure consistent customer satisfaction.
- Other duties as assigned
Accountability: Operates areas in accordance with established PRIDE standards, policies and procedures. Responsible for quick, accurate and safe treat production process. Assists in the success of the restaurant by ensuring guest satisfaction through adhering to company standards for quality, value, service and cleanliness. Maintains positive working relationship with all restaurant employees to foster and promote a cooperative and pleasant working environment. Communicates all significant issues, both positive and negative, with management staff.
