Applications for entrance examinations for the position of Deputy Sheriff for Cherokee County may be obtained from the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office or Cherokee County Clerk of Court office.  Application packets will be available, Wednesday, September 10, 2024. Requests may be made via phone, mail, fax, e-mail or at the office of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s office or the Cherokee County Clerk of Court office.  GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: Applicant must be a citizen of the United States. Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language. Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 60.  APPLICANT MUST FURNISH: Current Driver’s License, birth certificate, military discharge papers, high school diploma (or equivalency).
