We are searching for an FSQS Technician to join our growing Lopez Foods Team!

The FSQS Technician position is 1st shift working Monday-Friday, 4:30 am to 3:30 pm. *Please Note: Start time may be 6:30 am, and shifts can be as late as 5:30 pm*.

FSQS Technician Position Purpose:

The FSQS technician must be responsible for monitoring all food safety and quality of the company at all times. The Technician will collect and report measurable quality data from production throughout the shift. The technician will be a resource to Operations to ensure safe and quality are being produced that meet our customer requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; among other duties that may be assigned:

• Resolve issues that pertain to food safety and quality.
• Monitor and document deficiencies in production areas pertaining to the companies GMPs, SSOP, and Quality Systems.
• Perform preoperational inspections.
• Weekly collection and documentation of pre and post operational swabs.
• Monitoring and verifying that HACCP requirements are met.
• Verifying operational procedures and equipment to ensure SOP requirements are followed.
• Collecting samples of finished product to ensure customer quality and specifications are met.
• Verifying the accuracy of labeling for raw materials and other ingredients at the time of receipt.
• Gathering data by measuring key attributes of finished products and notifying leadership when product specifications are not achieved.
• Perform batching of raw materials; including, making sure all batch finals meet customer specifications and requirements.
• Review paperwork to ensure all SOP required checks are completed.
• Verify packages and labels to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior food safety and quality assurance experience, preferred
• Prior production experience, a plus
• Monthly food and plant safety trainings
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to be able to work in temperatures of 38-40 degrees
• Must be able to stand in one place for up to 10 hours per day
