Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a daycare center setting and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children while promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. The Daycare Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that foster learning and growth.

Duties

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with childhood development standards.
  • Supervise and interact with children in a positive manner to promote their social skills and emotional well-being.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Observe and assess children’s development, providing feedback to parents regarding their progress.
  • Implement behavior management strategies to support children’s individual needs effectively.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive teaching approach that benefits all children in the daycare.
  • Provide care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, ensuring their physical needs are met (feeding, diapering, etc.).
  • Foster an inclusive environment for children with disabilities or special needs through tailored activities and support.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Experience working with children in various settings such as daycare, preschool, or as a nanny/babysitter.
  • Familiarity with classroom management techniques to maintain an orderly learning environment.
  • First aid certification is preferred; ability to respond effectively in emergencies is essential.
  • Understanding of childhood development stages and the ability to create age-appropriate activities.
  • Experience in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 – $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
