Marcus Lumber is a 100+ year family-owned company built on relationships, reputation, and doing things the right way. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a General Manager to lead and scale our HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical service divisions.
This is an opportunity to own, grow, and lead a division like it’s your own business—with the support, stability, and reputation of an established company behind you.
You will be responsible for the full performance of the service division, including:
Revenue Growth & Sales Leadership
- Drive new business through leads, follow-up, and customer relationships
- Price, present, and close bids for service and project work
- Grow recurring revenue through maintenance/service programs
- Partner with our sales team to expand customer relationships
Operations & Execution
- Oversee scheduling, dispatching, and job coordination
- Ensure jobs are completed efficiently, profitably, and on time
- Lead and support field technicians across HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
- Be the point person for solving problems—internally and with customers
Financial Performance
- Manage revenue, gross margin, and labor efficiency
- Ensure accurate invoicing, time tracking, and job costing
- Set and hit annual and monthly performance goals
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead daily communication and set the tone for the team
- Hire, coach, and develop technicians and support staff
- Build a culture of accountability, professionalism, and pride in the work
Customer Experience
- Ensure every customer interaction reflects our “Wow Experience” standard
- Resolve issues quickly and professionally
- Build long-term relationships—not just one-time jobs
