POSITION SUMMARY: Manages the housekeeping/Laundry department and supervises staff. Directs and monitors housekeeping/Laundry activities to assure compliance with quality standards and state accrediting standards and maintains the hospital in a sanitary and attractive condition. Supervises work activities of housekeeping staff to ensure the facilities are in a clean, sanitary, orderly, and in attractive condition to provide a suitable environment for patient care and staff work. Assigns duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding housekeeping services and take corrective action. Provides communication, recruits, trains, and evaluates housekeeping staff and improves quality standards.
