Hospice Registered Nurse
Reports To: Hospice Manager
Position Summary:
Hospice RN case manager oversees the treatment of hospice patients by assessing, planning, and coordination hospice services in collaboration with the physician, interdisciplinary group, and the patient/family/caregivers. Provide skilled nursing card, education, and support to maximize comfort and health of patients and their families.
Anticipated Schedule: Full time, 32-40 hours weekly, Every 5th weekend, Rotating call.

Qualifications:
Education:
- Required: Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelors of Science in Nursing
License/Registration/Certification:
- Required: Current Registered Nurse Licensure, State of Iowa
- Required: Current and valid Iowa Driver’s License
- Required: Proof of current automobile insurance that meets state minimum coverage requirements
Experience:
- Preferred: 1+ years nursing clinical experience
- Preferred: Hospice Nursing experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, required
- Highly developed problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to flexible work schedules and frequent interruptions
- Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines on daily work and special projects
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong project management skills needed.
- Ability to learn and use various community programs
