Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable operations leader responsible for overseeing the full daily function of a meat processing and retail facility. Ensures compliance with USDA and HACCP regulations, maintains strict food safety standards, and manages production workflows from intake to finished product. Directs employee scheduling, training, and performance to support efficient operations and exceptional customer service. Oversees inventory, labeling, custom processing orders, and facility sanitation while coordinating with farmers, vendors, and customers. Maintains financial accuracy through cash handling, deposits, invoicing, and account monitoring. Provides hands‑on leadership to keep the facility running smoothly, safely, and profitably
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the meat locker, including slaughter, processing, packaging, and retail functions
- Ensure full compliance with USDA and HACCP, and Food Safety Operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of locker facilities to identify maintenance needs and coordinate repairs or upgrades
- Develop, conduct, and document employee trainings
- Ensure proper labeling for retail, custom, and USDA‑inspected products
Basic Requirements
- A high school Diploma or equivalent is prefered, but not required.
Pay: $50,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
