The Pride Group in Primghar is seeking a dedicated and skilled dietary cook to join our team at our residential care facility. This position is responsible for preparing and serving meals and snacks with a focus on meeting specific dietary needs and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to recipes
- Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff .
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies if needed
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred, with a focus on cooking roles.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques, knife skills, and food preparation methods.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Clean criminal background
- Able to successfully pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
