Sanitation Worker | 3rd Shift | $21.35/hr
$20.35/ hr + $1/hr 3rd Shift Premium. Pay Increases after 6 & 12 months of employment!
We’re hiring for a Night Shift Sanitation Worker for our Lopez Foods Plant in Cherokee, Iowa! The perfect candidate for this position will ensure equipment and the production areas are properly sanitized. Responsibilities will include scrubbing, rinsing and sanitizing production walls, floors, food contact surfaces, and equipment.
** Hours include Sunday – Friday, 11 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. **

Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Sanitation associates will clean and sanitize equipment.
- Associates will train in chemical safety guidelines and are required to use and handle chemicals.
- Sanitation associates will rotate and qualify in different jobs across the plant.
- Associates are required to wear wet suits and personal protective equipment.
- Associates are required to disassemble equipment prior to the cleaning process.
- Associates will work with pressure water hose.
- Working in temperature ranges from 48 to 78 degrees.
- Must be able to stand on their feet for 8 hours a day.
Requirements:
- Must have good attendance and reliable transportation.
- Prior experience working on 3rd shift and sanitation is a plus.
- HS Diploma/GED

Pay Increases after 6 & 12 months of employment:
- After 6 months, increase to $21.65/hr
- After 12 months, increase to $21.95/hr
